2024/2025 TUG SCHOLARSHIP EDUCATIONAL STIPEND

Applications will be open for the 2024/2025 TUG Educational Stipend scholarship on May 15, 2024

Applications must be submitted by July 1, 2024. Award recipients will be notified beginning August 5, 2024.

TUG Scholarships assist South Dade students in pursuit of continual learning and are available to undergraduate, graduate, vocational learning, and continuing education.

TUG Scholarship Educational Stipend Criteria

1. You must be age 17 years of age or older to be eligible.
2. Have a valid state issued ID, or driver’s license.
3. You must be a citizen, legal permanent resident, or naturalized citizen of the USA, or have a school VISA.
4. You must be an active member in your local faith-based organization.

Application Requirements:

1. Complete the TUG Scholarship Educational Stipend Application
2. Include an appropriate and clear picture (headshot only).
3. Type a 250-word essay regarding your commitment to personal faith development and pursuit of continual learning. Also, discuss how your faith and education will guide you in helping others and improving the community in which you reside.
4. List your contributions to your faith-based organization. (List the ministry and/or auxiliary board you currently dedicate your service) (ex., Choir/Arts, Usher Board, Finance Team, Youth Ministry, Willing Worker, etc.)
5. Obtain one letter of recommendation from an educational or community member familiar with the candidate’s academic and community strengths.
6. Provide proof of enrollment or course selection (not an acceptance letter)

Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
