"Firstly I would like to thank you all for this opportunity and granting me with this scholarship. I am currently a senior and will be graduating this upcoming December, God has kept me during my college journey. It is because of Him that I am able to get my degree, along with the support of my family. This scholarship will help relieve some of the financial stress that comes in the last semester of college. This scholarship helps cover the cost of books and other supplemental material for classes. I am extremely blessed to be a recipient of this scholarship, I am grateful that this opportunity was presented to South-Dade students. I plan on continuing my education after graduation, I currently plan on pursuing a Masters in School Counseling. Giving back to my community and helping students pursue their dreams is my ultimate goal in this field. I believe it is very important to have representation in a field such as School Counseling, being a student I understand firsthand what students can benefit from and what implementations should take place. I am Paige Smith, a 2023 recipient of the TUG Foundation Scholar, from Miami, Florida.  I am a third year Facilities Management major at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida.  The TUG scholarship is truly a blessing and I am thankful to be a recipient. This scholarship will go towards my fall tuition and fees. This is a tremendous help as it brings me one step closer to graduating on time in May of 2025.
